Our Organization

History

Reverend William Koehler, pastor of Lake Edge United Church of Christ, had a vision of affordable housing for seniors.  He shared his idea with eight other Madison east side faith communities.  After a year of planning, Ecumenical Housing Corporation was incorporated on January 18, 1980.

Our communities are designed for our residents’ comfort and convenience.  And, our desire is to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents.

We are honored when people choose one of our communities to live as we strive to provide a sense of a friendly “neighborhood” with personal services to make their best years even better.

What started as a vision over 30 years ago is now a reality and one of the best options in Dane County.

Ecumenical Housing Corporation is a non-profit ministry of faith communities dedicated to provide quality, affordable housing and other related services to individuals fifty-five years of age and better.
