Carla D. Fears

Executive Director

Carla Fears is the Executive Director. Carla provides executive leadership and management for all aspects of the organization’s operations.

Carla became Executive Director in October of 2004 and has over 28 years of senior management experience serving the fifty-five and better population. Prior to joining Ecumenical Housing Corporation, Carla was Senior Adult Services Manager for Meriter Health Services, Inc.

Carla has held other senior management positions as Executive Director of Coventry Village Retirement Community, Executive Director of Colonial Club Senior Activity Center, General Manager of Towne Center Terrace Retirement Community, and Vice President of Senior Living Services, Inc.

Carla has served on the Leadership Greater Madison Board of Directors, Sun Prairie Leadership Board of Directors, Arthritis Foundation Board of Directors, United Way Campaign Cabinet, Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics Friends Board of Directors. Carla had the privilege to serve as a Wisconsin delegate to the White House Conference on Aging. Carla also has served on several other community and faith committees and been a member of other community organizations.

Carla earned her Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees from Kansas State University.


Gregg Schulz

Financial Consultant

Gregg is Ecumenical Housing Corporation’s Financial Consultant. Gregg has oversight responsibility for the organization’s financial accounting and reports.

Gregg became a team member of Ecumenical Housing Corporation in May of 2005. Previously, Gregg had 9 years of experience as Controller of Monson Construction Company and as Accounting Manger with Steve Brown Apartments.

Gregg received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin.


Shelley Hall

Community Manager

Shelley is the Community Manager of EHC’s Meadow Grove community. Shelley oversees the daily operations of the Meadow Grove community involving leasing, resident relations, finances, and maintenance.

Shelley became a team member of Ecumenical Housing Corporation in July of 2010. Prior to joining Ecumenical Housing Shelley was a Resident Services Manager and Leasing Consultant with Willmark Communities. Shelley also previously worked in the Advertising Department and Customer Service Call Center with Capital Newspapers, Inc. and was an office manager with Tesar-Reynes.

Shelley graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Lake Forest College.


Diane Baal

Community Manager

Diane is the Community Manager of EHC’s Taylor Ridge community. Diane has responsibility for overseeing the daily operations of Taylor Ridge community involving leasing, resident relations, finances, and maintenance.

Diane became a team member as a Community Manager with Ecumenical Housing Corporation in December 2010. Diane has over 13 years of real estate and property management experience. Prior to joining Ecumenical Housing Corporation, Diane was Office Administrator for Realty Executives. Diane has also worked as a Medicare Customer Service Representative with WPS and as an Accounts Payable staff member with Demco, Inc.

Diane attended Madison Area Technical College with concentration in Accounting.


Dean Gehri

Maintenance Technician

Dean is a Maintenance Technician for Ecumenical Housing Corporation. Dean has responsibility for maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, grounds, and safety.

Dean became a team member of Ecumenical Housing Corporation in July 2010. Previously, Dean was an operating partner for 13 years with Treeline Investments and J-K Holding. Dean also worked as a facility and equipment supervisor with Princeton Health Clubs.

Dean received an Associate of Arts degree from the Colorado Institute of Art in Denver. Dean holds a contractor certification license with the State of Wisconsin.


Mike Suter

Maintenance Technician

Mike is a Maintenance Technician for Ecumenical Housing Corporation. Mike has responsibility for maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, grounds, and safety.

Mike became a team member of Ecumenical Housing Corporation in September 2011. Previously, Mike was a job coordinator and carpenter with TJK Design Build for 6 years. Mike also has his own company, Suter Construction.

Mike received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Philosophy from Northern Illinois University.


Hans Mueller

Maintenance Assistant

Hans is the Maintenance Assistant for Ecumenical Housing Corporation. Hans is responsible for the cleaning of all Ecumenical Housing Corporation communities.

Hans became a team member of Ecumenical Housing Corporation in November 2006. Previously, Hans was a maintenance assistant with Meadowmere Assisted Living. Hans also has 30 years maintenance experience as Chief Engineer with Faulkne House Condo Association in Chicago.

Hans graduated from school in Germany.
